Italclem’s GO range provides a series of accessories which complete the electrical installations.
Shunt trip release and auxiliary contact are interfaces between the protection device and a power or signaling device positioned at a distance and connected to the protection device itself.
The auxiliary contact enables the connection of a visual or acoustic signaling device to the circuit breaker; when the breaker trips, the auxiliary contact causes the actuation of the device to which it is connected. The auxiliary contact signals the position of the contacts of the circuit breakers to which it is coupled, by modifying the status of the contacts upon each lever position variations; or, by operating on the dedicated selector, it signals the automatic tripping of the circuit breaker to which it is connected (due to an overload, short-circuit or earth leakage).
The shunt trip release generates the tripping of the circuit breaker to which it is coupled by mean of a remote control connected to the shunt trip device itself.
A typical application example is construction sites’ panels provided with emergency push buttons.
