Miniature Circuit Breakers – MCBs 10kA

CLEM MCBs with 10kA breaking capacity according to Standard EN 60898-1 are designed to protect installations from overload and short-circuits. They are equipped with two overcurrent releases which feature two tripping sensitivities: one to thermic factors, for protection from low value fault currents and current overloads; the other to electro-magnetic factors, for protection from high value overcurrent (short circuit).
MCBs’ mechanism is trip-free, that is the MCBs can also trip when the lever is held on close position. All products can be power supplied from both the top and the bottom terminals. Furthermore “cage” type terminals facilitate connection both through conductors (up to 35mm² rigid and 25mm² flexible) and through busbars (both pin or fork types).

MCBs 10kA are available in B, C and D curve:

• MCBs B curve are generally used when protecting resistive circuits (loads) and electric apparatus with limited starting currents values
• MCBs C curve are the most widely used and they are installed when protecting resistive or limited inductive circuits (loads) and electrical apparatus with high starting currents values
• MCBs D curve are recommended for protecting significantly inductive circuits (loads) and electric apparatus (motors) with very high starting currents values.
